La Monte cd, "Here comes the skinny roller" is out now on Arab Sheep records.
La Monte is the new project of Teho, Steve Nardini and Mirco Muner.
They try to find spaces within their music rather than in the place where they are playing: pauses, silences, breakdowns move their punk rock towards electro without missing the connections with verse/chorus pop songs.

the duo debut inspierd by pier paolo pasolini's poetry, is receiving great reviews all over the world.

"The result is a beautifully realised landscape of noise an acoustic/electronic marriage which doesn’t end in a messy divorce. Friedlander’s cello parts float beneath waves of white noise and degraded electronic blips as if they had always been there and Teardo’s intense production never gets too much to latch on to. In addition to ‘Giorni Rubati’ the duo have also included two special live tracks; one from the Knitting Factory in New York and one recorded in Italy at a show celebrating 30 years of the death of Pasolini. A fitting end to a hugely involving meeting of great musical minds.”

saturday july 15th modern institute will open michael nyman's show at the wonderful abbey of sesto al reghena (pordenone, italy). show will start at 9.

june 29th, modern institute will present their debut album "excellent swimmer" at the spitz in london. it's an expanding records showcase with several artists from the engligh label: modern institute, oblong, orla wren, miller+fiam, simon keep/holkham and expanding records djs for a night of electronic music and more.

martina and teho will present their debut album "excellent swimmer" for the first time at no fun club in udine. they'll play also some new and unreleased track plus a couple of tracks from the expanding records compilation for the sonar and the track from the benbecula records minerals compilation.

Teho has realized the soundtrack for the new amazing movie by Paolo Sorrentino.
"L'amico di famiglia" will be presented at this year Cannes Film Festival.
