oh hook, teho's new work will be premiered at the santarcangelo festival
In this performance Teho Teardo takes music into his hands as if it was a three-dimensional object and throws it against a wall, with an impact that is similar to that of a bullet. Teardo needs to see the sound and stands like someone ready to shoot in a rifle-range. But as soon as the jets of sound reach the wall, they bounce back as burning tongues and enter the baritone guitar held by the musician.Therefore the instrument becomes a funnel for surprising sounds like the echo of Dionysus’ ear in Syracuse.
